We want to introduce you to DoubleTree by Hilton Bethesda's new Executive Chef! He will be creating mouthwatering dishes for our in-house restaurant, Share Wine Lounge & Small Plate Bistro. Meet Executive Chef Nader Bouktur! He was born in Egypt, where he got his culinary skills. His education, experiences and expertise make him a great addition to our friendly and knowledgeable team.
Nader joined us this July after a career that started back in 1998, when he moved from Egypt to Bermuda, to become the Sous Chef of The Sonesta Hotel & Resort. He worked at this 650 guest room hotel for several years before making his next move in 2006. That year, he moved to the United States, more specifically New Jersey, to work as the Sous Chef of an exclusive country club for the next five years. His time as the Sous Chef of Canoe Brook Country Club was also spent training in Vegetarian Cooking in NYC as well as becoming an American citizen. In 2011, Nader Bouktur joined the Davidson Hotels & Resorts team and relocated to Annapolis, MD to become the Sous Chef at the Westin Annapolis until 2015, when he graduated to becoming Executive Chef for the DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC for a year.
Now, Chef Nader has joined us at DoubleTree by Hilton Bethesda as Executive Chef and we couldn't be happier. Throughout his journey, he married his wife Basma and together have a two-year-old daughter named Lily. Welcome to the DoubleTree by Hilton Bethesda family, Nader!
